The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvin Månsson in the 4th minute of play forced Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Celestino Villamañan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telo Amaya took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Sjögren. Peter Sjögren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Telo Amaya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Sjögren. INIXET BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Telo Amaya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Celestino Villamañan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Einar Rosendahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Peter Sjögren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordero Sotomayor in the 31st minute of play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Frantxizko Serra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INIXET BK's Peter Sjögren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peter Sjögren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telo Amaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Gaston Durango had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Sjögren. INIXET BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaston Durango was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Åke Galle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Celestino Villamañan made a huge save. In the 44th minute, Arvin Månsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celestino Villamañan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Diablos Rojos booed when INIXET BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvin Månsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Gaston Durango reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Peter Sjögren. The goal made the score 1-4. Frantxizko Serra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Peter Sjögren made a huge save. Celestino Villamañan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvin Månsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Telo Amaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Peter Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frantxizko Serra hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Telo Amaya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peter Sjögren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Su Aceituno charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Su Aceituno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of INIXET BK booed when Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Su Aceituno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvin Månsson struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Celestino Villamañan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INIXET BK. Celestino Villamañan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Galle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes Diablos Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Frantxizko Serra. Diablos Rojos played a much better game than INIXET BK and deserved their victory. The INIXET BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
