The tension between the La Gallardeta and the KFC Cromvelde players grew even worse after the yellow card. The KFC Cromvelde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gogo Alonso during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Quentin Beetens's late challenge caught a La Gallardeta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After 37 played minutes KFC Cromvelde got a freekick which was hit by Cederic Antheunis. In the 40th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Matteo to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Steuckens came free, but Jaime Nafarroa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Illan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Gilliam Van Langhendonck made a huge save. Quentin Beetens struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jaime Nafarroa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Cromvelde.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Illan was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Cromvelde's goalkeeper Gilliam Van Langhendonck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KFC Cromvelde's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Quentin Beetens in the 98th minute. In the 100th minute KFC Cromvelde were awarded a corner. Quentin Beetens went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Luc Opdebeeck heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KFC Cromvelde eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
