Jens-Åke Tingelholm hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. A collision led to VfL Bad Nenndorf getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Björn Eigler hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Segmon IF's Emanuel Blomkvist got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute, Segmon IF's Charlie Lind dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Björn Eigler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Ravelli was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Hasenjäger in the 21st minute of play forced Segmon IF's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Ravelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Hasenjäger in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to VfL Bad Nenndorf getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Esteban Käpernick hit a great ball. Ladislaus Veith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Charlie Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislaus Veith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Edgar Abegg fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VfL Bad Nenndorf's protests and gave Edgar Abegg a yellow card for diving instead. Edgar Abegg kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Joseph Hasenjäger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VfL Bad Nenndorf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Hasenjäger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Segmon IF's Charlie Lind got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42ndth minute of the game Joseph Hasenjäger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Segmon IF's Thomas Ravelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Joseph Hasenjäger managed to get in a good position for a shot. VfL Bad Nenndorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph Hasenjäger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Ravelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Tomas Brolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Segmon IF's Thomas Ravelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Hasenjäger in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charlie Lind stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match Bernt Henriksson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ladislaus Veith skillfully saved the ball. Edgar Abegg was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 60 played minutes VfL Bad Nenndorf got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Abegg. VfL Bad Nenndorf's Ladislaus Veith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Lind in the 61st minute of play. If Björn Eigler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Segmon IF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jannes Stegemann 71 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After 74 played minutes VfL Bad Nenndorf got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Käpernick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Lind in the 75th minute of play forced VfL Bad Nenndorf's goalkeeper Ladislaus Veith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteban Käpernick hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Björn Eigler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Ravelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jannes Stegemann in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Aron Lundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jannes Stegemann charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jannes Stegemann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th match minute, VfL Bad Nenndorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jannes Stegemann to maneuver through the defense. VfL Bad Nenndorf's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
