Saul Iaki hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s zone, Feliciano Laurentzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Somarriba came out of the goal and Feliciano Laurentzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis-Antonio Cotrofe didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Jerrald in the 26th minute of play forced ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Tiago Somarriba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, Chacarita Futsal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Iaki to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martxel Baezabal got free with Roque Sarracino in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiago Somarriba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Jerrald in the 33rd minute of play. When Medardo Pedrera fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s protests and gave Medardo Pedrera a yellow card for diving instead. Tiago Somarriba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Janpier in the 41st minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliciano Laurentzi to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Chacarita Futsal's Geronimo Janpier got a free kick in the 51st minute. Sotero Mescua didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute Melchor Jerrald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Somarriba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Bernabe Policarpio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Tiago Somarriba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchor Jerrald, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute Martxel Baezabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Sarracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Policarpio came free, but Tiago Somarriba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ defense, Bernabe Policarpio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiago Somarriba. The ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiago Somarriba should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Geronimo Janpier kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tiago Somarriba. That made the score 1-3 in the 81 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chacarita Futsal's Ruben Salvidor got a free kick in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Bernabe Policarpio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tiago Somarriba. Bernabe Policarpio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. 95 minutes into the game, one of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Tiago Somarriba, was totally fooled by Chacarita Futsal's Bernabe Policarpio, who 97 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chacarita Futsal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
