Charlie Lind's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faustão Hermes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Thomas Ravelli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Vítor Nóbrega showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 45 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 55th minute, José Vítor Nóbrega left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Faustão Hermes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute José Vítor Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Ravelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Ravelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Nóbrega in the 86th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Inter Gala's Giuseppe Fonseca got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Fonseca in the 94th minute of play forced Segmon IF's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Inter Gala's José Vítor Nóbrega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomas Ravelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Inter Gala's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
