After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sandrinho Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capibaribe Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandrinho Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Ravelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 80 played minutes Segmon IF got a freekick which was hit by Reine Molander. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Henry Lilja the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Segmon IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Henry Lilja had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Segmon IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Capibaribe Stars:s goal. In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Capibaribe Stars. Nico Penha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thomas Ravelli. 5-0. After 97 played minutes Segmon IF got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Blomkvist. Segmon IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
