The corner was taken by Gert Hebert in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Yorrick Zwaanswijk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albertus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Municipales FC the free kick. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carlos Gartzea the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Municipales FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carlos Gartzea had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 31st minute, one of Municipales FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Municipales FC. 39 minutes into the game, Ferdi Merenga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Benicio Garoa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdi Merenga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Hubert Ottens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frits Platvoet took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Garoa. Benicio Garoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Albertus FC's Ger Tollenaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Hibai in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Esteve Nicholas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ger Tollenaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Werner Scholten fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albertus FC's protests and gave Werner Scholten a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Albertus FC's Werner Scholten got a free kick in the 87th minute.
