Yuri Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Balendin having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Igor Pio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 22 minutes, Jose Naelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SOUTH THUNDER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Naelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute Jose Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute SOUTH THUNDER were awarded a corner. Igor Pio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Unidade Pinto Louco's goalie and right to Santiago Tome. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Unidade Pinto Louco's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Umberto Aparecido's late challenge caught a SOUTH THUNDER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Umberto Aparecido helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Unidade Pinto Louco got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Aparecido. The audience was convinced that Edgard Leme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Balendin was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. If Arturo Acevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bruno Balendin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SOUTH THUNDER's Bruno Balendin got control of the ball when Edgard Leme tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Eleder. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Yuri Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unidade Pinto Louco's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Balendin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Bruno Balendin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58thth minute of the game Edgard Leme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOUTH THUNDER's Bruno Balendin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 63 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Maldonado. In the 64th minute of the match Edgard Leme shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Balendin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, SOUTH THUNDER's Santiago Tome got a free kick in the 65th minute. Umberto Aparecido hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute Edgard Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Balendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th match minute, SOUTH THUNDER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Naelio to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Unidade Pinto Louco were the better team. Unidade Pinto Louco's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
