Eurico Figueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Cuartio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Lagrima en Jarrita defense, Adelino Gama kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenzo Quintin. The Lagrima en Jarrita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenzo Quintin should have stopped the shot. Lorenzo Quintin was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Adelino Gama capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adelino Gama really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Eurico Figueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Errando in the 12th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lagrima en Jarrita defense, Adelino Gama kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenzo Quintin. The Lagrima en Jarrita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenzo Quintin should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Lagrima en Jarrita's goalkeeper Lorenzo Quintin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Alcântara. Filipe Quinaz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Gremio Viana's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Lagrima en Jarrita's Javier Mateo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Saverio Errando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Cuartio in the 27th minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Eurico Figueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gremio Viana's Eurico Figueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Cuartio in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Filipe Quinaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lorenzo Quintin. Filipe Quinaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Raimundo Henrico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Eurico Figueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

After 52 played minutes Lagrima en Jarrita got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Henrico. Javier Mateo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Salgueiro hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, André Salgueiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Aquilino Argoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lagrima en Jarrita's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquilino Argoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eurico Figueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute of the match, Danilo Cuartio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eurico Figueira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Lagrima en Jarrita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Christobal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danilo Cuartio in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eurico Figueira saved Gremio Viana from getting behind. Lagrima en Jarrita's Lorenzo Quintin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Fernandes in the 77th minute of play. Eurico Figueira made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Danilo Cuartio sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Carlos Alcântara got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Filipe Quinaz notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Lagrima en Jarrita's Lorenzo Quintin. Lorenzo Quintin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lagrima en Jarrita players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gremio Viana.
