In the 4th minute Dieguinho de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Quintin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saverio Errando kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Lagrima en Jarrita booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Ceni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javier Mateo in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Aníbal Abraão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lorenzo Quintin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 30 minutes into the match, Aníbal Abraão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lorenzo Quintin. Lagrima en Jarrita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aníbal Abraão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Saverio Errando hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Aníbal Abraão made a precise shot to the right of Lorenzo Quintin. Lagrima en Jarrita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Viana in the 41st minute of play forced Lagrima en Jarrita's goalkeeper Lorenzo Quintin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Quintin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dieguinho de Almeida went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Aníbal Abraão scored 0-7 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo Quintin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidoro Palben was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes, Osmar Freitas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Divina Comédia FC and the Lagrima en Jarrita players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Osmar Freitas. Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Errando in the 56th minute of play. If Vito Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Aníbal Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Quintin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Quintin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of Lagrima en Jarrita booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Abraão got free with Lorenzo Quintin in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Lagrima en Jarrita's Javier Mateo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Lorenzo Quintin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho de Almeida in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Lagrima en Jarrita's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Abraão came free, but Lorenzo Quintin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Lagrima en Jarrita fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Divina Comédia FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
