With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lorenzo Quintin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serafim Sacadura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Lorenzo Quintin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Gremio Viana were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Fernando Couto hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Emanuel Guillelme was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Eurico Figueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Palben in the 56th minute of the match. Saverio Errando struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Eurico Figueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagrima en Jarrita.
