FC Ouagadougou National's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 4th minute Adolf Smedts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Colonna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 played minutes Ugonotti got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinando Fortunato. A collision led to Ugonotti getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ferdinando Fortunato hit a great ball. FC Ouagadougou National's Jeffrey Rits got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernt Van Eeckhout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fabiano Colonna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Ugonotti's goal looked a bit too open when Adolf Smedts came free, but Fabiano Colonna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Colonna was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yvan Fraes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, FC Ouagadougou National was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillaume Pelgrims to maneuver through the defense. Diego Alaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fabiano Colonna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Marcon charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Marcon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ugonotti getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Frank Marcon hit a great ball. Jeffrey Rits might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabiano Colonna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeffrey Rits ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute, Enrico Di Muzio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Diego Alaerts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano Colonna. Ugonotti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Alaerts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 44 played minutes Ugonotti got a freekick which was hit by Carter Cerri. In the 46th minute of the match Robbe Van Der Taelen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Colonna showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carter Cerri was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Ugonotti got a freekick which was hit by Emilio De Laurentiis. If Diego Alaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Bernt Van Eeckhout made a precise shot to the right of Fabiano Colonna. Ugonotti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After some careless play in the Ugonotti defense, Yvan Fraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabiano Colonna. The Ugonotti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabiano Colonna should have stopped the shot. In the 69th minute, Diego Alaerts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Ouagadougou National fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Anfilogino Sciarra scored 5-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daan Owerckx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Puja in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Daan Owerckx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernt Van Eeckhout's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Colonna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Flavio Puja kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Ugonotti getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Frank Marcon hit a great ball. FC Ouagadougou National's Jeffrey Rits got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that FC Ouagadougou National were the better team. FC Ouagadougou National's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
