The referee ignored FC Ouagadougou National's protests and gave Peter-Jan Goovaers a yellow card for diving instead. Peter-Jan Goovaers kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Ouagadougou National's Daan Owerckx got control of the ball when Romulo Guib tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, FC Ouagadougou National's Steffe De Jonge seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Steffe De Jonge the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Ouagadougou National protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Steffe De Jonge had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Steffe De Jonge hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. El ABUELO FC's Ermegildo Pepillo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Daan Owerckx but with some difficulty. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Daan Owerckx successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 15th match minute, El ABUELO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Dimas to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, El ABUELO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Alaerts came free, but Marciano Lertxun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Ruperto Urre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Tabor came free, but Daan Owerckx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daan Owerckx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Pepillo in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25thth minute of the game Ermegildo Pepillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ouagadougou National's Daan Owerckx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of El ABUELO FC booed when FC Ouagadougou National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolf Smedts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daan Owerckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Guib, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute, Bartjan Rijmenants hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC Ouagadougou National's Bernt Van Eeckhout got a free kick in the 34th minute. Daan Owerckx made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Aaron Dimas sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Dimas in the 38th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Daan Owerckx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Peter-Jan Goovaers hit a great ball. FC Ouagadougou National's Daan Owerckx proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save FC Ouagadougou National from getting a goal against them. Daan Owerckx didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romulo Guib went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute Aaron Dimas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daan Owerckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ermegildo Pepillo made a kick off. Diego Alaerts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Marciano Lertxun made a huge save. Daan Owerckx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermegildo Pepillo's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Daan Owerckx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Guib in the 63rd minute of play. Jorden De Clercq's late challenge caught a El ABUELO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorden De Clercq helped the player get up and apologised. Jorden De Clercq kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Orlando Rudolfo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El ABUELO FC and the FC Ouagadougou National players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ief Fondria got free with Marciano Lertxun in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. El ABUELO FC's Marciano Lertxun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save El ABUELO FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to El ABUELO FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Agustin Nel hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Adolf Smedts sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marciano Lertxun skillfully saved the ball. Daan Owerckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Tabor, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ruperto Urre kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When Bernt Van Eeckhout came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FC Ouagadougou National fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Van Eeckhout couldn't finish the play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. El ABUELO FC were victorious despite being under pressure from FC Ouagadougou National for much of the match.
