The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fokke Veenhuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Dimas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of El ABUELO FC booed when AC Pitt Bier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Wielens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marciano Lertxun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Twan Lute in the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Orlando Rudolfo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fokke Veenhuis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 16th match minute, El ABUELO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Argenis to maneuver through the defense. When Klaas Rijkaard came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the AC Pitt Bier fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaas Rijkaard couldn't finish the play. Klaas Rijkaard's late challenge caught a El ABUELO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaas Rijkaard helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of El ABUELO FC booed when AC Pitt Bier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaas Rijkaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. AC Pitt Bier's Fokke Veenhuis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Tabor in the 22nd minute of play. El ABUELO FC's Aaron Dimas got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roland Valk hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pieter-Jan Roeles in the 34th minute of play forced El ABUELO FC's goalkeeper Marciano Lertxun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th match minute, El ABUELO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Cesaro to maneuver through the defense. Marciano Lertxun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pieter-Jan Roeles in the 36th minute. El ABUELO FC's Marciano Lertxun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Twan Lute in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Twan Lute in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marciano Lertxun saved El ABUELO FC from getting behind. After 40 minutes of play, AC Pitt Bier's Pieter-Jan Roeles made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marciano Lertxun was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute Pascall de Vries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Lertxun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marciano Lertxun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Twan Lute, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pieter-Jan Roeles to strike the kick off in the second half. Romulo Guib recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pieter-Jan Roeles might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marciano Lertxun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pieter-Jan Roeles ran back to his position shaking his head. El ABUELO FC's Marciano Lertxun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Twan Lute in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, AC Pitt Bier's Twan Lute nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marciano Lertxun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Marciano Lertxun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pieter-Jan Roeles in the 71st minute of play. When AC Pitt Bier's Twan Lute in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El ABUELO FC's goalie prevented a goal. Walt Samuel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Fokke Veenhuis made a huge save. With a little luck, AC Pitt Bier's Fokke Veenhuis got control of the ball when Walt Samuel tried to sneak it across the goal line. AC Pitt Bier's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
