Camillo Castellazzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Van Eeckhout in the 17th minute of play. Bernt Van Eeckhout scored 0-3 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camillo Castellazzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Bernt Van Eeckhout fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ouagadougou National's protests and gave Bernt Van Eeckhout a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Ouagadougou National's Bernt Van Eeckhout got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Ferdinando Fortunato struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Daan Owerckx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ugonotti. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Alaerts in the 26th minute of play forced Ugonotti's goalkeeper Camillo Castellazzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Alaerts was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FC Ouagadougou National booed when Ugonotti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
