The coaching staff of TZILACATZIN protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Conrado Heriberto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 31st minute, one of TZILACATZIN:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TZILACATZIN. 39 minutes into the game, TZILACATZIN's Hermengildo Abadia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Rogers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Celso Manni came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Stowe City's Bruce Cornell. But to his dismay, Bruce Cornell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inocencio Herauso made a kick off. Eusebio Duardo's late challenge caught a Stowe City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Cornell in the 72nd minute of play forced TZILACATZIN's goalkeeper Celso Manni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Rogers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Herauso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
