An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Tono in the 14th minute of play forced Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Epifanio Etxatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Adan Rufo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villa Mitre City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guansa the free kick. Adan Rufo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Villa Mitre City defense, Arturo Tono kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Etxatxu. The Villa Mitre City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Etxatxu should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Villa Mitre City booed when Guansa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Gaufred didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gonzalo Oriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Marco Birila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guansa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Norberto Calisto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61stth minute of the game Arturo Tono who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Mitre City's Epifanio Etxatxu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Epifanio Etxatxu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Villa Mitre City's Epifanio Etxatxu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Villa Mitre City from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Epifanio Etxatxu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Estefan. 72 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Estefan came free, but Epifanio Etxatxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dionisio Urbez got free with Epifanio Etxatxu in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelo Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Villa Mitre City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Marco Birila scored to the left of an out of position Epifanio Etxatxu, making the score, 0-4. 85 minutes into the game, Leon Mattin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guansa played a much better game than Villa Mitre City and deserved their victory. The Villa Mitre City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
