An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinhard Robbermond in the 11th minute of play forced Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Epifanio Etxatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mosk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villa Mitre City the free kick. After 33 played minutes Mosk got a freekick which was hit by Reinhard Robbermond. With an all-out effort, Villa Mitre City's Klaas de Hoop threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcelo Mendiko, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Candido Perico lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The audience held their breath when Klaas Jan de Jong in the 39th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Epifanio Etxatxu's left hand side. In the 41st minute, Reinhard Robbermond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Epifanio Etxatxu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Epifanio Etxatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sipke Hardering in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert Zethof to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Reinhard Robbermond kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Epifanio Etxatxu. That made the score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. If Norberto Calisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 68 played minutes Mosk got a freekick which was hit by Reinhard Robbermond. Alberto Orti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Klaas de Hoop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Villa Mitre City's Epifanio Etxatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert Zethof in the 72nd minute of play. Klaas de Hoop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Oriol in the 75th minute of the match. In the 84th minute Gijsbert Zethof shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Etxatxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epifanio Etxatxu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mosk's Gijsbert Zethof shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 95th minute, Reinhard Robbermond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mosk eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
