Gigel Rânceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Clodio in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Ruquense FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Clodio was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Lucas Clodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Rânceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Gigel Rânceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Fotbal Club Vaslui from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Ruquense FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fotbal Club Vaslui throughout the match.
