Marcos Sewell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Rânceanu having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Kerry Lancaster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Marcos Sewell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gigel Rânceanu. Gigel Rânceanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Gigel Rânceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Sewell in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Marcos Sewell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gigel Rânceanu. Gigel Rânceanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. C. A. Pipon Pipon made a substitution. Foster Romero replaced Max Calvert.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bobby Fisher stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrei Vârjean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Liviu Mușătescu fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fotbal Club Vaslui's protests and gave Liviu Mușătescu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of C. A. Mugurel Răduț blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darin Marks having to make a save. Marcos Sewell took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigel Rânceanu. Gigel Rânceanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. After 88 played minutes C. A. Pipon Pipon got a freekick which was hit by Colin Mock. Gigel Rânceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Sewell, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Gigel Rânceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Fisher in the 93rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bobby Fisher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigel Rânceanu was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Halipa in the 95th minute of play forced C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Darin Marks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bobby Fisher's late challenge caught a Fotbal Club Vaslui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C. A. Pipon Pipon.
