Norberto Vilanova started the match with the kick off. Mugurel Răduț kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Claudemiro Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Gigel Rânceanu made a huge save. António Colaço took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigel Rânceanu. Gigel Rânceanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Norberto Vilanova sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Claudemiro Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Aurel Halipa got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 40 played minutes Fotbal Club Vaslui got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Halipa. If Emílio Águas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Aurel Halipa got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 48 minutes, Roberto Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altamora FC and the Fotbal Club Vaslui players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th minute, Roberto Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrei Vârjean made a kick off. Gigel Rânceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudemiro Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Mugurel Răduț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Răduț came free, but Vítor Pádua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurel Halipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Claudemiro Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Rânceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Fotbal Club Vaslui getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ivan Voiculescu hit a great ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Roberto Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altamora FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Altamora FC's Emílio Águas got a free kick in the 80th minute. Gigel Rânceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudemiro Coelho in the 96th minute of the match. Vítor Pádua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Vârjean, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. There was no doubt that Altamora FC were the better team. Altamora FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
