When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Selmo Ribeiro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vítor de Lima to make any attempt to save it. Vítor de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damario Izquierdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Velloso's late challenge caught a Boomer Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Boomer Fc's Miguel Laudrup slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vítor de Lima. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Laudrup to make the kick off.
