The tension between the Savage Hippo and the Slipmaskinerna players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Slipmaskinerna booed when Savage Hippo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nojus Mitkevičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Björn Rudqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vaidas Rakauskas's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Edmundas Kšanavičius's late challenge caught a Slipmaskinerna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmundas Kšanavičius helped the player get up and apologised. Edmundas Kšanavičius kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Savage Hippo's goalkeeper Jogaila Palčiauskas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robin Asserlindh. After 11 played minutes Savage Hippo got a freekick which was hit by Andrius Klusas. Edmund Qvarnström kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Slipmaskinerna's zone, Nojus Mitkevičius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Björn Rudqvist came out of the goal and Nojus Mitkevičius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Savage Hippo's Jogaila Palčiauskas got control of the ball when Robin Asserlindh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Slipmaskinerna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Henning Hjortberg charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Edmundas Kšanavičius came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Savage Hippo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundas Kšanavičius couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaidas Rakauskas in the 45th minute of play forced Slipmaskinerna's goalkeeper Björn Rudqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Edvard Jönsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slipmaskinerna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Savage Hippo the free kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Konrad Valström to strike the kick off in the second half. If Robin Asserlindh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Björn Rudqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaidas Rakauskas, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 58 minutes of play, Slipmaskinerna's Robin Asserlindh made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jogaila Palčiauskas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Savage Hippo's Valentas Podėris got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Robert Stenkvist fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slipmaskinerna's protests and gave Robert Stenkvist a yellow card for diving instead. Robert Stenkvist hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robin Asserlindh during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Slipmaskinerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Asserlindh to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Savage Hippo's Vaidas Rakauskas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Björn Rudqvist. Björn Rudqvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vaidas Rakauskas got free with Björn Rudqvist in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vaidas Rakauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Andrius Klusas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Vaidas Rakauskas took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Björn Rudqvist to make any attempt to save it. The Savage Hippo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
