Gilberto Domenec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Edvaldo de Sousa made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Luganeros AFC's Salvador Bihar got a free kick in the 16th minute. Alejo Gaspard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Luganeros AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Maore to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's zone, Gilberto Domenec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvaldo de Sousa came out of the goal and Gilberto Domenec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Vicente Dante made in the 51st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Carlos Eduardo Leão immediately put the ball in play. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gilberto Domenec managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luganeros AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Domenec was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvaldo de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejo Gaspard had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Natã de Toledo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 62 minutes into the match, Natã de Toledo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Luganeros AFC's Alejo Gaspard. Alejo Gaspard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
