After 11 minutes of play, Jk Tammeka 90's Hillar Raudsaar made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ion Crivac was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hillar Raudsaar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liviu Achimescu charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Liviu Achimescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Liviu Achimescu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Ion Crivac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egert Sõnajalg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Bogdan Vornicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Owls's supporters rose to their feet, but Bogdan Vornicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kalju Kruus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Bogdan Vornicu had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Enar Vanaots's late challenge caught a The Owls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jk Tammeka 90's Enar Vanaots got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Jk Tammeka 90's goalkeeper Kalju Kruus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Arsene. 42 minutes into the match, The Owls's goal looked a bit too open when Hillar Raudsaar came free, but Ion Crivac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 minutes, Traian Arsene made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jk Tammeka 90's Kalju Kruus tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hillar Raudsaar was the one to do the kick off. The Owls's Ion Crivac proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save The Owls from getting a goal against them. The supporters of The Owls booed when Jk Tammeka 90 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villu Laht didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Traian Arsene had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kalju Kruus. Jk Tammeka 90's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Traian Arsene was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 60 minutes, Cornel Angheluță mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Owls and the Jk Tammeka 90 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jk Tammeka 90 booed when The Owls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Angheluță didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Hillar Raudsaar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kalju Kruus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Liviu Achimescu went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute Traian Arsene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalju Kruus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalju Kruus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Arsene, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Nicodim Tăcutu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Julius Tali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Liviu Achimescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kalju Kruus was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
