The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertil Åström in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Maia saved PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ from getting behind. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bertil Åström sped through PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Maia. After 6 minutes of play, Zero Hedge's Alfred Österberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Maia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jens-Ola Löv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elder Guedes in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Zero Hedge's Jens-Ola Löv got control of the ball when Gilson Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baltazar Meireles charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltazar Meireles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Baltazar Meireles got a free kick in the 21st minute. Luís Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Österberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Åström came free, but Luís Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Baltazar Meireles hit a great ball. The supporters of PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ booed when Zero Hedge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dani Python didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Bertil Åström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Lukas Kråk with Melker Törnblom as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Luís Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertil Åström in the 36th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Zero Hedge got a freekick which was hit by Dani Python. 39 minutes into the game, Dani Python was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zero Hedge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ the free kick. After 40 played minutes Zero Hedge got a freekick which was hit by Dani Python. After 44 minutes, Bertil Åström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zero Hedge and the PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Zero Hedge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertil Åström to maneuver through the defense. Luís Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Österberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Luís Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Österberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Alfred Österberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Alfred Österberg scored to the left of an out of position Luís Maia, making the score, 0-4. Luís Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Österberg in the 61st minute. Dani Python sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Österberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Dani Python struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Luís Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zero Hedge. In the 74th minute Alfred Österberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Maia was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Alfred Österberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfred Österberg really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After some careless play in the PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ defense, Bengt Jonsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Maia. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Maia should have stopped the shot. Lukas Kråk hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Bengt Jonsson scored 0-7 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Maia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zero Hedge played a much better game than PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ and deserved their victory. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
