The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Valle got free with Orlando Crain in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Abel Valle dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Luís Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trey Berthelette in the 17th minute of play. Herschel Orozco kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Claudinei Sá got in the 20th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Orlando Crain and thus it was 2-0. Palmer Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Luís Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ booed when Hurricanes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herschel Orozco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Hurricanes FC's goalkeeper Orlando Crain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elder Guedes. Elder Guedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Orlando Crain made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elder Guedes in the 46th minute of play forced Hurricanes FC's goalkeeper Orlando Crain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 48 minutes of play, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Abel Valle made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orlando Crain was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Palmer Guerra to make the kick off. Orlando Crain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Pombal in the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Palmer Guerra came free, but Luís Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's zone, Trey Berthelette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Maia came out of the goal and Trey Berthelette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roosevelt Frederick hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Pombal in the 79th minute of play forced Hurricanes FC's goalkeeper Orlando Crain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes, Elder Guedes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ and the Hurricanes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Elder Guedes got a free kick in the 88th minute. If Murilo Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trey Berthelette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Luís Maia made a huge save. Orlando Crain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Valle in the 99th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ had played much better football throughout.
