Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilson Saldanha in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Poças prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elias Poças showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Gilson Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 played minutes Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Gentil. Adérito Fernandes's late challenge caught a PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adérito Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Adérito Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Patrício Galvão came free, but Luís Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiaguinho Santana scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elias Poças, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Poças stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilson Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Elias Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Silvestre Vasques got a free kick in the 32nd minute. With his leg Luís Maia managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Albertino Carvalhal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adérito Fernandes was the one to do the kick off. Patrício Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Maia having to interfere. Luís Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Carvalhal in the 57th minute of play. The long shot by Claudinei Sá in the 64th minute really tested Elias Poças's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Elias Poças proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the game, Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Albertino Carvalhal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Maia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Pedro Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Poças having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Amorim in the 80th minute of play forced Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's goalkeeper Elias Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilson Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Elias Poças tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iker van der Sar hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Amorim in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Poças prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
