Carlos Frascuelo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes, Nueva Adalucia's Desiderio Lozano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Prospero Matxin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nuno Aranzubia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Matxin was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. The Nueva Adalucia fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Nueva Adalucia's Enzo Bergada looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nueva Adalucia fans cheered their team off the field, for while 17 de enero team had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
