An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Negri in the 14th minute of play forced Tottenham Hotspur FC's goalkeeper Ivan Zapletal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Ruy Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Zapletal. Tottenham Hotspur FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruy Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ivan Zapletal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Saldanha in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Christiano Alves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Zapletal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Tottenham Hotspur FC's Ivan Zapletal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Machado in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Alves in the 30th minute of play forced Tottenham Hotspur FC's goalkeeper Ivan Zapletal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Gerson Paulista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruy Machado got free with Ivan Zapletal in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivan Zapletal made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Celso Negri sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as CA Portugália's Celso Negri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ivan Zapletal. That made the score 0-7 after 84 minutes of play. Ivan Zapletal didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 0-8. Ivan Zapletal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. CA Portugália played a much better game than Tottenham Hotspur FC and deserved their victory. The Tottenham Hotspur FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
