The supporters of São Paulo da Floresta booed when Monks in Robes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gynther Danford didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Monks in Robes's Ulrick Bødkerholm got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Monks in Robes! Kay Christian had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Vitório Mendonça's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Geovanni Lopes hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Vilhelm Palmekrone came free, but Carlos Fernando Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, São Paulo da Floresta's Jefferson Mazza got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanni Lopes got free with Kay Christian in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Ulrick Bødkerholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Ivan Kongsvang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Folmar Skårstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Fernando Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Palmekrone, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 28th minute Vilhelm Palmekrone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gynther Danford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Carlos Fernando Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Gynther Danford made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Fernando Almeida. São Paulo da Floresta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vilhelm Palmekrone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Palmekrone in the 51st minute of play forced São Paulo da Floresta's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovanni Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in São Paulo da Floresta's zone, Gynther Danford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Fernando Almeida came out of the goal and Gynther Danford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitório Mendonça during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes São Paulo da Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Mendonça. In the 64th minute, Caco Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jefferson Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Geovanni Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São Paulo da Floresta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Fernando Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrick Bødkerholm in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulrick Bødkerholm in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Fernando Almeida saved São Paulo da Floresta from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulrick Bødkerholm got free with Carlos Fernando Almeida in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the game, Vilhelm Palmekrone recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Fernando Almeida. Vilhelm Palmekrone showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Kay Christian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The São Paulo da Floresta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Monks in Robes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
