Carlos Fernando Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Palmekrone in the 45th minute of play. A hard shot by Folmar Skårstad from long distance, 48 minutes into the match, got Carlos Fernando Almeida's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlinhos Sergipano to make the kick off.
