An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Castro in the 7th minute of play forced Concordia Knurów's goalkeeper Wincent Juzda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Wladyslaw Maruda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Concordia Knurów's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jataiense Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 10th match minute, Concordia Knurów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wladyslaw Maruda to maneuver through the defense. Edward Anszczak kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Edmundo Castro, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Wincent Juzda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio Luiz Neves during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sílvio Luiz Neves hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Damazy Zbytniewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wincent Juzda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Concordia Knurów's zone, Rony Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wincent Juzda came out of the goal and Rony Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wincent Juzda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Moura in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Wellington Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wincent Juzda. Concordia Knurów's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wellington Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 49 played minutes Jataiense Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Neves. After the first half Jataiense Futebol Clube were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Wellington Moura got free with Wincent Juzda in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacek Wolicki's late challenge caught a Jataiense Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The tension between the Jataiense Futebol Clube and the Concordia Knurów players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacek Wolicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Délio Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 98 minutes, Dráuzio Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jataiense Futebol Clube and the Concordia Knurów players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jataiense Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Dráuzio Freire hit a great ball.
