The Nina fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Rafael Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Nina fc getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Arnaldo Dubardo hit a great ball. Zé Paulo Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Ignado, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Rafael Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Lucio Hernandez made a huge save. The supporters of Nina fc booed when Werneck FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Umberto Araújo fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Werneck FC - DMZ's protests and gave Umberto Araújo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Umberto Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruy Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Nina fc defense, Rafael Loyola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Hernandez. The Nina fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Hernandez should have stopped the shot. The Werneck FC - DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nina fc were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruy Favoretto to strike the kick off in the second half. Alonzo Hever received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zé Paulo Fernandez came out and tried to block the shot, but Alonzo Hever slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 55th minute. Ruy Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Lucio Hernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Werneck FC - DMZ. Ruy Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Hernandez having to interfere. Edgard Heriberto charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Heriberto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lucio Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Favoretto in the 75th minute of play. Nina fc's Lucio Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Loyola in the 78th minute of play. Virgílio Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Paulo Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Hever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alonzo Hever. If Rafael Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Werneck FC - DMZ's Virgílio Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Paulo Fernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alonzo Hever showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 96 minute of play. The Nina fc supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nina fc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
