The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Spoială in the 5th minute of play. Tiago Freitas's late challenge caught a FC Maci -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Tiago Freitas got a free kick in the 6th minute. A collision led to FC Maci -MM- getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Nicolae Pădureanu hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the game, Andrei Arseanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Zé Paulo Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Paulo Fernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alin Giurcă showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Eugen Spoială might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Paulo Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugen Spoială ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Werneck FC - DMZ defense, Andrei Arseanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Fernandez. The Werneck FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Paulo Fernandez should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugen Spoială during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eugen Spoială hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Bogdan Neaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 37th minute of the match, Alin Giurcă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zé Paulo Fernandez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Marius Doroftei came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the FC Maci -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marius Doroftei couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Alin Giurcă made the kick off in the second half. Cezar Boia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Paulo Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristide Hodorog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Werneck FC - DMZ defense, Alin Giurcă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Fernandez. The Werneck FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Paulo Fernandez should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, FC Maci -MM-'s Nicolae Pădureanu got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes, Romário Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Werneck FC - DMZ and the FC Maci -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. Romário Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Jacinto das Neves hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Nicolae Pădureanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Paulo Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolae Pădureanu in the 76th minute of play. Zé Paulo Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Spoială, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Paulo Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Spoială in the 83rd minute of the match. Nicolae Pădureanu took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Paulo Fernandez. Zé Paulo Fernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Zé Paulo Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Spoială in the 89th minute of play. Zé Paulo Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Pădureanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Eugen Spoială notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Fernandez. Zé Paulo Fernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Maci -MM- fully deserved thier win.
