The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Viktoras Samios didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ponciano Bobis went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kolopetinitsa's Alkis Athanasiou was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 10th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Viktoras Samios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimas Trapiella in the 12th minute of the match. Burutzagi Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alkis Athanasiou, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Dimas Trapiella's late challenge caught a Kolopetinitsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dimas Trapiella helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Dimas Trapiella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Burutzagi Romero was a little too slow when Alkis Athanasiou got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-1. Trifon Pantelakos hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29thth minute of the game Dimas Trapiella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kolopetinitsa's Viktoras Samios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alkis Athanasiou who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Burutzagi Romero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alkis Athanasiou might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Burutzagi Romero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alkis Athanasiou ran back to his position shaking his head. Themistoklis Kourkoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Burutzagi Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lambros Karpodinis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Burutzagi Romero came out and tried to block the shot, but Lambros Karpodinis slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 42nd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alkis Athanasiou was the one to do the kick off. Dimas Trapiella hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Alkis Athanasiou put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Burutzagi Romero. Burutzagi Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinos Kazantzis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viktoras Samios was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Ponciano Bobis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ponciano Bobis really showed his touch with that goal: 6-2. When Isias Corono came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the CD Municipal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isias Corono couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Alkis Athanasiou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kolopetinitsa's supporters rose to their feet, but Alkis Athanasiou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Burutzagi Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Burutzagi Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Themistoklis Kourkoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Alkis Athanasiou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Burutzagi Romero. CD Municipal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alkis Athanasiou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-2. In the 82nd minute, CD Municipal's Dimas Trapiella ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Viktoras Samios. Viktoras Samios yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-3. In the 87th minute, Ponciano Bobis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89thth minute of the game Alkis Athanasiou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Municipal's Burutzagi Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Burutzagi Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konstantinos Kazantzis's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Isias Corono's late challenge caught a Kolopetinitsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
