After 7 minutes, Denis Smidts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bruges and the Legia Warszawa 【L】 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Douglas Schoenmaekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wincent Piechocki went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Douglas Schoenmaekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florian Pryputnicki's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Florian Pryputnicki lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Douglas Schoenmaekers. Denis Smidts hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Matthy Smets kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Florian Pryputnicki recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Douglas Schoenmaekers. Florian Pryputnicki showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. FC Bruges's Douglas Schoenmaekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bruges from getting a goal against them. After having played for 26 minutes, Lech Cwynar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Legia Warszawa 【L】's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lech Cwynar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute of the match, Walery Koczara got a very nice opportunity to score, but Douglas Schoenmaekers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Denis Smidts kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Florian Pryputnicki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Douglas Schoenmaekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Bruges's Douglas Schoenmaekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bruges from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Douglas Schoenmaekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FC Bruges's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Florian Pryputnicki scored to the left of an out of position Douglas Schoenmaekers, making the score, 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

Douglas Schoenmaekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walery Koczara in the 54th minute of play. After 60 minutes of play, Legia Warszawa 【L】's Lech Cwynar made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Schoenmaekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florian Pryputnicki in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Douglas Schoenmaekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Florian Pryputnicki hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, FC Bruges's Goffrey Lissens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-1. Wincent Piechocki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lech Cwynar in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Bruges's goalkeeper Douglas Schoenmaekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Schoenmaekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walery Koczara in the 74th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Bruges's Herman Bormans got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florian Pryputnicki in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Douglas Schoenmaekers saved FC Bruges from getting behind. FC Bruges's Douglas Schoenmaekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Pryputnicki in the 81st minute of play. After 82 played minutes Legia Warszawa 【L】 got a freekick which was hit by Wincent Piechocki. After some careless play in the FC Bruges defense, Walery Koczara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Douglas Schoenmaekers. The FC Bruges fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Douglas Schoenmaekers should have stopped the shot. 87 minutes into the game, Wincent Piechocki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-1. Douglas Schoenmaekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Pryputnicki in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Bruges's goalkeeper Douglas Schoenmaekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Florian Pryputnicki made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Schoenmaekers. FC Bruges's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-1. Douglas Schoenmaekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wincent Piechocki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Legia Warszawa 【L】 were the better team. Legia Warszawa 【L】's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
