Leonardo Pes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Cugat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cornelio Mino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 44 minutes into the game, Cecilio Maties was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 44 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Maties. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Águilas Poblanas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
