After a rather tough play, Estrela Solitária's Renato Nascimento got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Jorginho Maia hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Francisco Alagoano sped through San Lorenzo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amadeo Tabor. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Uriel Lucero hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Vitinho Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário Quirino was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Arturo Lehior capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arturo Lehior really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Amadeo Tabor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vitinho Gonçalves's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vitinho Gonçalves helped the player get up and apologised. Mário Quirino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Jakes in the 29th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Lehior to make the kick off. Mário Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Lehior, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Amadeo Tabor was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Enio Travassos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Enio Travassos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After having played for 70 minutes, Francisco Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrela Solitária's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. San Lorenzo's Amadeo Tabor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Travassos in the 74th minute of play. San Lorenzo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Enio Travassos 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. In the 82nd minute of the match Rodrigo Jakes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mário Quirino skillfully saved the ball. Jorginho Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Amadeo Tabor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Francisco Alagoano sped through San Lorenzo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amadeo Tabor. Jorginho Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Amadeo Tabor made a huge save. Estrela Solitária's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
