Manuel Bojonca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 6th minute, Reinhard Braamhaar made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Bojonca. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 10 minutes into the game, Gabriele Batistuta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Manuel Bojonca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Aurelian Savin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lemel SV booed when LIVIUS UNITED MLS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Lupoaia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Bastiaan Bruintjes made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Bojonca. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. If Gigi Trifănucă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Savin in the 37th minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper Olivier Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinhard Braamhaar struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Manuel Bojonca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lemel SV. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pieter den Hartog made a kick off. Manuel Bojonca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pieter den Hartog in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 played minutes LIVIUS UNITED MLS got a freekick which was hit by Doru Zbârciog. A collision led to LIVIUS UNITED MLS getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Emanuel Homescu hit a great ball. In the 59th minute of the match Leon Reiling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Bojonca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manuel Bojonca made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Reinhard Braamhaar sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute Pieter den Hartog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Bojonca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Bojonca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastiaan Bruintjes in the 76th minute of the match. Pieter den Hartog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olivier Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Milcoveanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Gigi Trifănucă's late challenge caught a Lemel SV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gigi Trifănucă helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute of the match Leon Reiling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Bojonca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Reinhard Braamhaar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Bojonca. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reinhard Braamhaar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Pieter den Hartog received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Bojonca came out and tried to block the shot, but Pieter den Hartog slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Lemel SV left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than LIVIUS UNITED MLS.
