After a rather tough play, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Dalmo Bertassi got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Corinthians Paulista's zone, Jos Armentier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo came out of the goal and Jos Armentier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the VC zoetwater defense, Matías de Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stan Hagemans. The VC zoetwater fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stan Hagemans should have stopped the shot. Dalmo Bertassi struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Stan Hagemans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Corinthians Paulista. VC zoetwater's Stan Hagemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Bertassi in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, VC zoetwater's goal looked a bit too open when Matías de Moraes came free, but Stan Hagemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmo Bertassi took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stan Hagemans. Stan Hagemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Jos Armentier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jos Armentier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Fred Van Hoeyveld's late challenge caught a S.C. Corinthians Paulista's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Van Hoeyveld helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when VC zoetwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Van Hoeyveld didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Cedric Van Meerbeec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Matías de Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Stan Hagemans made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmo Bertassi got free with Stan Hagemans in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matías de Moraes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stan Hagemans came out and tried to block the shot, but Matías de Moraes slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 48th minute.
Stan Hagemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Bertassi in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute Dalmo Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stan Hagemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute Dedê Paes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stan Hagemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Van Hoeyveld received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo came out and tried to block the shot, but Fred Van Hoeyveld slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 69th minute. VC zoetwater were furious when Robbrecht Caes was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 74 minutes into the game, one of VC zoetwater:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 79 minutes of play, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Dalmo Bertassi made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stan Hagemans was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute of the match, Fred Van Hoeyveld tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. VC zoetwater's Jos Armentier got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Faria to maneuver through the defense. If Gustavo Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jos Armentier fell near the penalty area in the 100th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VC zoetwater's protests and gave Jos Armentier a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to VC zoetwater getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Jos Armentier hit a great ball. S.C. Corinthians Paulista were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of VC zoetwater for a fine match.
