Frank Paraibano came out of the goal and César Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Floresta Negra FC's Oséas Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Raúl Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raúl Valadares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Floresta Negra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber de Senna to maneuver through the defense. Frank Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo dos Santos in the 52nd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when José Paulo Paulista put in a rough tackle. 51 minutes into the game, one of Floresta Negra FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
