When Iuri Vinhas fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sagarana Clube's protests and gave Iuri Vinhas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Iuri Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jos Armentier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jean Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sagarana Clube's Jean Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jos Armentier in the 18th minute of play. Jean Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jos Armentier in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, VC zoetwater's Cedric Van Meerbeec got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Tostão Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Goiano in the 29th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Stan Hagemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stan Hagemans made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Adelino Andrade sent off a good shot on target. The VC zoetwater fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when VC zoetwater's Jos Armentier looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 54th match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Jean Leite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cedric Van Meerbeec went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Iuri Vinhas got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 60th minute, Iuri Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, VC zoetwater's Marc Van Linthaut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Adelino Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sagarana Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Jos Armentier took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean Leite. Jean Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Jos Armentier got in the 73rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jean Leite handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Fred Van Hoeyveld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Leite having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Fred Van Hoeyveld left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VC zoetwater fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Jean Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Van Hoeyveld in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. VC zoetwater walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
