The referee ignored Sagarana Clube's protests and gave Tostão Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Tostão Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iuri Vinhas in the 10th minute of the match. Luís Fabiano da Costa hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Andrade. After 16 minutes of play, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Matías de Moraes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jean Leite was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matías de Moraes in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean Leite saved Sagarana Clube from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Sagarana Clube's Tostão Goiano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Diego da Cunha put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jean Leite. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Luiz Fernando Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Goiano in the 29th minute of play. Tostão Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Dráuzio Moreira took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Luiz Fernando Figueiredo to make any attempt to save it. Jean Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Paulo Alagoano notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Sagarana Clube's Jean Leite. Jean Leite was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Sagarana Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S.C. Corinthians Paulista were winning 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adelino Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. Frank dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Leite having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Vinhas in the 57th minute of play forced S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Adelino Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Sagarana Clube getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Vânderson da Rocha hit a great ball. Jean Leite came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Matías de Moraes. But to his dismay, Matías de Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. In the 72nd minute, Matías de Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. In the 77th minute, Sagarana Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Matías de Moraes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Adalberto Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jean Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Veloso in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sagarana Clube's Tostão Goiano got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Renatinho Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Leite having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Jean Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matías de Moraes. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.C. Corinthians Paulista walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
