When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Viktor Josefsson sped through S.C. Corinthians Paulista's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Figueiredo.

Anabolic Boys's Reine Wennerström was substituted for Viktor Josefsson. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens-Åke Abrahamsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Jim Backlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anabolic Boys and the S.C. Corinthians Paulista players grew even worse after the yellow card. Corinthians Paulista's Luiz Fernando Figueiredo got control of the ball when Reine Wennerström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elof Hellgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego da Cunha in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Anabolic Boys's Reine Wennerström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. When Alvin Skröder fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anabolic Boys's protests and gave Alvin Skröder a yellow card for diving instead. Reine Wennerström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Benett in the 93rd minute of play. Gilbert Larsfält fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Figueiredo having to interfere. Anabolic Boys played a much better game than S.C. Corinthians Paulista and deserved their victory. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
