The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Izaltina FAD's Diego Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Hermansson in the 10th minute of play. José Paulo Recife was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 16th minute, Aníbal Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diego Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Billberg in the 26th minute of the match. Izaltina FAD's Diego Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Billberg in the 37th minute of play. Osmar Donato struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Pelle Andreasson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izaltina FAD. Ivan Billberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Izaltina FAD made a substitution. Luiz Alcântara replaced Rodriguinho Gonçalves.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jörn Hermansson made a kick off. A collision led to Strömsbro IF getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rickard Söder hit a great ball. The supporters of Strömsbro IF booed when Izaltina FAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Jörn Hermansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Izaltina FAD's Diego Valladares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Osmar Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 74 minutes into the game, Luiz Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izaltina FAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strömsbro IF the free kick. Luiz Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Jörn Hermansson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Diego Valladares. That made the score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. If Aníbal Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Izaltina FAD's Leandro Alagoano was substituted for Duda de Sousa. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Rickard Söder got a free kick in the 84th minute. Aníbal Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Pelle Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jörn Hermansson's late challenge caught a Izaltina FAD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jörn Hermansson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Izaltina FAD booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Hermansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörn Hermansson in the 95th minute of the match. During the 96th minute of the match Jörn Hermansson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jörn Hermansson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jörn Hermansson kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the final whistle went the supporters of Strömsbro IF were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Izaltina FAD side.
