Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dalmo Rocha kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Filipe Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Ferrari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Iguaçu MZFC the free kick. Dudu Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 15th minute Dalmo Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudu Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmo Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, S.C. Ferrari's Aníbal Furlan got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Zé Carlos Cordeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dudu Garcia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nova Iguaçu MZFC reached it. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Anselmo Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dudu Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rui de Lima got free with Giuseppe Lara in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. César Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Dudu Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Alagoano in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Giuseppe Lara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Deivid Queirós. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rui de Lima to make the kick off. Anselmo Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, S.C. Ferrari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Souza to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Aníbal Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match Túlio Vale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dudu Garcia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Filipe Souza got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Filipe Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Deivid Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Giuseppe Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.C. Ferrari made a substitution. Amílton Sarmento replaced Beto Seco. With a little luck, S.C. Ferrari's Dudu Garcia got control of the ball when Telmo Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Telmo Barbosa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dudu Garcia, 0-1. The supporters of S.C. Ferrari booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball.
