An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Barbosa in the 2nd minute of play forced HFA FC's goalkeeper Christian Araoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Túlio Vale got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christian Araoz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 11th minute Telmo Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Araoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute César Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Araoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Telmo Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Araoz was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Telmo Barbosa in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Araoz saved HFA FC from getting behind. In the 20th minute of the match Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a corner. HFA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. HFA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that César Alagoano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Christian Araoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Barbosa in the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Dalmo Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Christian Araoz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 85 minutes, Guilherme Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guilherme Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of HFA FC booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Arthur Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Araoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Araoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Nova Iguaçu MZFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than HFA FC.
