The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Alfredo Paraibano fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Ferrari's protests and gave Alfredo Paraibano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Preator Edikt booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Malcolm Deckberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Antunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 12th minute of the match, Rui de Lima tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Reine Pettersson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 13th match minute, Preator Edikt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Österlund to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Preator Edikt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Ferrari the free kick. A collision led to Preator Edikt getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Antunes. S.C. Ferrari's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 27th minute, Josef Österlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui de Lima who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Reine Pettersson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Preator Edikt's Reine Pettersson got control of the ball when Rui de Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute Breno Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reine Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui de Lima made a kick off. Edu da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Sílvio Antunes came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Preator Edikt's Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson. But to his dismay, Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Rui de Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reine Pettersson was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Jimmie Eckegren kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Reine Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui de Lima in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Rui de Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Ferrari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sílvio Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils-Erik Sundberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sílvio Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. S.C. Ferrari's Sílvio Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Östman in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Sílvio Antunes however easily saved by the left post. 89 minutes into the game, Breno Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Ferrari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Preator Edikt the free kick. The supporters of Preator Edikt booed when S.C. Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Preator Edikt supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Preator Edikt would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
