Sune Åberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reine Pettersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Bernt Borre got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 12 minutes, Olof Östman made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hermanö Oilers's Kenneth Forsberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 15 played minutes Hermanö Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Peter Bank. Kenneth Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson in the 16th minute of the match. Kenneth Forsberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olof Östman's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Dan Hermansson hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Malcolm Deckberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kenneth Forsberg. Hermanö Oilers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reine Pettersson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peter Bank showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 29 minute of play. Hermanö Oilers's Kenneth Forsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Hermanö Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Falck to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peter Bank made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preator Edikt's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth Forsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 minutes, Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Hermanö Oilers's Kenneth Forsberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Olof Östman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Preator Edikt's Olof Östman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenneth Forsberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 76th minute Hermanö Oilers were awarded a corner. Sune Åberg went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 80th minute Olof Östman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens-Ove Ambjörnsson scored 2-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenneth Forsberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reine Pettersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Bank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Hermanö Oilers's Kenneth Forsberg got control of the ball when Olof Östman tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Nils-Erik Sundberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Preator Edikt's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
